“I Don’t Have a Girlfriend!”

Tophiachu spent part of a recent TikTok livestream addressing a rumor that had clearly taken hold in the chat.

According to viewers, she might have a girlfriend.

According to Tophia, absolutely not.

“I don’t have a girlfriend,” she told the stream. “I’m not thinking about dating anybody.”

The clarification did not appear to close the case.

The topic resurfaced repeatedly as the livestream continued, with viewers continuing to ask about a supposed relationship or crush. Each time the subject came up, Tophia pushed back.

“It wasn’t like an in love type thing,” she said while attempting to explain an interaction viewers had apparently decided counted as evidence.

The discussion soon became less about the rumor itself and more about the familiar dynamic between Tophia and her audience. Comments would appear questioning something she said. Tophia would respond. More comments would follow.

“You guys love drama,” she told the chat.

Throughout the broadcast, she also pushed back against the idea that viewers were uncovering new information, noting that many of the claims being discussed were based on clips and conversations circulating online.

“It’s documented everywhere,” she said.

At several points the conversation shifted to the impact the ongoing attention has had on her personally.

“My mental health is messed up,” Tophia said during one segment of the stream. “I’m mentally exhausted.”

She also referenced crying while describing how overwhelming the situation has felt.

“I cry all the time,” she said.

Later in the livestream, Tophia suggested that harassment connected to the ongoing online drama had escalated beyond arguments in chat.

“It was filed with the police over this harassment,” she told viewers.

Meanwhile, the chat continued moving quickly, often returning to the same questions.

“You guys would love for me to apologize,” she said at one point.

By the end of the stream, Tophia had repeated her position several times.

“I don’t have a girlfriend.”

The chat appeared willing to continue reviewing the matter anyway.
