Tophiachu went live on Instagram and somehow turned a casual chat into another episode of the “I’m not getting a 9 to 5” saga.
After viewers told her to get a job, Tophia made it clear she has no interest in living by what she called society’s rules.
“I don’t have to follow society’s rules that says get a job, work yourself to death, and then not have no money,” she said. “I’m my own system.”
She insisted her comments were not an attack on people who work regular jobs, but explained that she personally does not want to spend eight hours working just to still struggle financially.
The conversation quickly turned into Tophia’s bigger dreams. She talked about wanting to build companies, start clothing designs, and even mentioned crowdfunding as a way people can raise money for practically anything.
The internet, of course, had plenty to say. When chat continued pushing the “get a job” comments, Tophia fired back that telling someone to get a job was not positivity and accused critics of wanting others to be miserable because they are miserable.
She also addressed her social media income, claiming she has made over $20,000 online over several years and said there was a period where she consistently made around $1,000 a month.
“I’m not here to be liked,” she said earlier in the stream, making it clear she knows the comments are not going to stop.
The live took a more personal turn when Tophia spoke about her late brother and his love for cars. She shared stories about his Volkswagens, other vehicles he owned, and how he wanted to visit an exotic car experience because he watched the channel.
Then, in true Tophia fashion, the conversation went from memories of family cars straight into her own dream garage. She revealed she wants a Dodge Hellcat, a Challenger, or even an early 2000s BMW convertible.
The stream also included a small celebrity story time, old Comic Con memories, her claiming social media is a “highly specialized career path,” and a reminder that she has plans for YouTube, DIY videos, plus-size fashion hauls, and cake decorating once she has a place of her own.
Whether viewers were agreeing, arguing, or just waiting for the recap channels to clip everything, one thing remains true: Tophia can turn a simple “hello” into a 40-minute TED Talk about cars, careers, cake decorating, and why she definitely is not filling out a job application.
